Three Chicks…Who Are They?

You are already know them.  Maybe one is your mom.  Your best friend.  That one teacher.  Maybe she’s your sister.  That lady in the house down the street.  Maybe she is you.

She’s the woman who supported you, inspired you, believed in you.  She gave you advice.  She told you “why not.”  She was flying out the door the moment you pulled in the driveway, excited just to see you.  She gives the best hugs.  Maybe she has dispensed perfect drops of wisdom over the years you’ve known her.  Maybe she was the one who always had an extra hair tie.  Maybe she is you.

For me, my Three Chicks are way more than just three, but Three Thousand Chicks might seem excessive.  So, my first Chick is made up of all the amazing women I am related to and who have inspired me my entire life.  They haven’t just survived, they have thrived.  My second Chick is all the incredible women I have met along with way.  Women who have shown me love because they chose to and women who have supported because that is what they do.

The final Chick?  She is Me!  Because, after years of asking “why can’t I just find a candle that smells like peaches and vanilla,” I woke up one day and said, “I’m going to make my own damn candle.”

Soy Wax…Why?

Why soy wax?  It's a renewable & biodegradable resource making it far more earth-friendly than your industry standard paraffin wax (sourced from petroleum or coal).  Soy wax burns cleaner for less sooting and it holds more fragrance for a stronger scent.  And it’s sourced right here in the United States.

And speaking of fragrance...whenever possible, Three Chicks uses essential oils to scent our candles.  If this isn't possible, we use fragrance oils that are rated "body safe" so you don't need to worry as much about what you are breathing in.

We use tinplate and glass containers that are 100% recyclable.  Our ECO wicks are made of cotton and paper--no harmful lead or zinc.  These wicks self-trim so they require less maintenance.
